Edges of a city

2005

The series is based on the figurative edges and borders of the entire community in a metropolis. These edges may be taken in many senses: socially, culturally, economically, religiously, as regards housing, mentally, physically, as regards recreation and practice of sports - edges remote from the realities of undisturbed everyday life. The series consists of images of spaces from which man has temporarily withdrawn. They look like stage sets during an intermission. The series prompts the question what kind of people enter these sets, what role they play and how they relate to the rest of society.
